Welcome to your new chapter at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility (CCMCF), where life revolves around your preferences and comfort in a lively, supportive environment. Here, you control your day with options like engaging bingo sessions, social hours, neighborhood dining, late-night movies, and engaging therapy sessions—everything designed by you, for you.
As a county-owned facility, certified by both Medicare and Medicaid, we feature six neighborhoods with their own living and dining rooms and four enclosed courtyards. One neighborhood is home to many of our short-stay residents where they can interact with one another while completing their physical, occupational or speech therapy services. Two neighborhoods are known as our special care neighborhoods for those residents who respond well to a smaller, quieter environment.
Residents enjoy the coziness of a tight-knit community set in caring Calhoun county. Whether you choose CCMCF or daily visits into our Marian E. Burch Adult Day Care, you're opting into a vibrant community that values your individuality, enhances your joy, and nurtures your sense of community. Welcome home to CCMCF!
Beauty Shop
At CCMCF, residents can indulge in a touch of luxury and self-care at our on-site beauty and barbershop. This convenient amenity offers a range of services, allowing residents to enjoy haircuts, styling, color, perms, and more, all tailored to their preferences. It's a wonderful opportunity for residents to feel pampered and refreshed, boosting their confidence and well-being.
Beauty Shop Hours
Monday-Friday: 7:30am - 3:30pm
Pricing
Prices start at $15.00 for haircuts and $40.00 for perms. Residents are welcomed and encouraged to get their hair set and styled on their bath day at no additional charge. We also offer manicures free of charge. Gift certificates are also available and a great way to help residents feel their best!
Appointments
Please contact the Beauty Shop or the Life Enrichment Director. You can also make outside arrangements with your own licensed hair stylist or barber. Licensed individuals are welcome to use the Beauty Shop with prior arrangements made with the Cosmetologist and Life Enrichment Director.
The Chapel
At Calhoun County Medical Care Facility, we provide an on-site chapel, offering a peaceful sanctuary where residents can reflect, worship, and find solace. This serene space is designed to cater to the spiritual and emotional needs of all residents, regardless of their faith or beliefs. Regular services, prayer meetings, and special religious events are held to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to observe their spiritual practices within the comfort and convenience of the facility. The chapel serves as a cornerstone for community building, providing a place where residents and staff can come together in a supportive and uplifting environment.

Therapy Care
Calhoun County Medical Care Facility is dedicated to enhancing the well-being and mobility of our residents through comprehensive on-site therapy services. We offer a full spectrum of therapeutic interventions, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy, tailored to meet the individual needs of each resident.
Therapy services are crucial for rehabilitation, helping residents recover from surgery, manage chronic conditions, or cope with the challenges of aging. Delivered by a team of experienced therapists, these programs focus on improving functional abilities, enhancing quality of life, and promoting independence.
Therapy sessions are conveniently held within the facility Monday-Friday (with occasional weekend hours as necessary), making access easy and ensuring continuous care. This integrated approach not only aids in physical recovery but also supports mental and emotional health, contributing to a holistic health experience for all residents.
Medical Care
At Calhoun County Medical Care Facility, we prioritize the health and convenience of our residents by offering a wide range of on-site medical services. These services ensure that residents receive prompt and efficient medical attention without the hassle of off-site travel. By integrating advanced medical care directly within our facility, we provide a seamless health care experience that supports the well-being and comfort of every resident.
Dr Chung, our Medical Director regularly rounds at the Facility and manages the care of residents while at CCMCF. Our on-staff Nurse Practitioner works in coordination with the Medical Director to ensure continuity of care. There is a medical provider on call to address any urgent health concerns that arise 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
