Calhoun County  Medical Care Facility is a skilled nursing home that is dedicated to provide each resident with opportunities to live life fully, while striving to eliminate the plagues of loneliness, helplessness and boredom. We will provide a clean environment with proper medical care, high-quality skilled therapy and rehabilitation services, healthy food choices and spontaneous interactions that include loving companionship, and opportunities to give as well as receive care.

The Medical Care Facility is a County owned non-profit institution certified for Medicare and Medicaid and licensed for 120 skilled care beds. It was constructed with County tax dollars in 1977. The facility is staffed and equipped to care for post-operative residents, Alzheimer's victims, residents with debilitative diseases, and residents recovering from stroke or fractures. The facility specializes in physical therapy services and wound care therapy. We have specially-trained personnel that provide quality, skilled treatment in each area. We also provide nutritional therapy and individualized diets.

The community utilizes the services of a Case Manager so that the transition from the home, foster care, or the hospital can be made as smoothly as possible. The Medical Care Facility also provides a full range of services including skilled nursing services, personal care, diversional activities, social services, and our in-house laundry department.

The Health Care Association of Michigan's "Consumer's Guide to Michigan Nursing Homes" gave Calhoun County Medical Care Facility a 97.1% Satisfaction Score and a 99% Compliance Score.  These scores demonstrate excellence in family satisfaction and compliance with over 300 federal regulations.
