THE CALHOUN COUNTY MEDICAL CARE FACILITY and its Marian E. Burch Adult Day Care Center provides a continuum of care to area adults who need assistance in pursuing an enriched and fulfilling life. We call it sharing and caring through the years.
Calhoun County Medical Care Facility is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to meet the varying short-term or long-term health care needs of the community we serve in a home-like atmosphere.
Our county-owned Facility is certified by both Medicare and Medicaid and features six neighborhoods with their own living rooms, and four enclosed courtyards. One neighborhood is home to many of our short-stay residents where they can interact with one another while completing their physical, occupational or speech therapy services. Two neighborhoods are known as our special care neighborhoods for those residents who respond well to a smaller, quieter environment.
The Marian E. Burch Adult Day Care Center is a department of Calhoun County Medical Care Facility and is designed to provide medical and rehabilitation services to clients 18 years and older with physical or mental disabilities. Restorative therapy, nursing, medical monitoring, dietary and personal care needs are readily available.
The Center specializes in care for adults who are suffering from a variety of diagnoses such as: Alzheimer’s disease; Parkinson’s; stroke victims; head injuries, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy and social isolation. One very important aspect of using Adult Day Care services is the opportunity for social stimulation and interaction with others.
