The Medical Model program provides medical supervision and nutrition as well as socialization opportunities for clients. The center has a licensed nurse on staff and monitors medication, blood pressure and weight. This serves to preserve quality of life and prevent early institutionalization. It also serves to provide a smoother transition if nursing home placement becomes a reality.
